Early Life and Education
Mark grew up in Plainville, where he graduated from Plainville High School in 1998. He continued his education at Northwest Kansas Technical School, earning a degree in Engineering & Drafting Technology in 2001. Mark pursued a career as an Engineer Technician at Penco Engineering, where his skills and dedication were highly valued.
Personal Life and Passions
On August 21, 2010, Mark married Deanna (Schultz), with whom he shared a loving and fulfilling life. Together, they raised their daughter Mia in Plainville. Mark was a devoted family man who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. An avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Nebraska Huskers, Mark spent most fall weekends watching football in his garage, often barbecuing and enjoying the company of family and friends.
Survived by Loved Ones
Mark is survived by his beloved wife, Deanna, and their daughter, Mia, both of Plainville. He also leaves behind his sisters, Margaret (Leon) Plante of Plainville, Mona (James) Allbee of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Jennifer (Dustin) Stull of Natoma, Kansas, as well as several nieces and nephews. His passing is deeply mourned by all who knew him.
Farewell Services
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainville. Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, August 8, at 6:00 PM, followed by a Vigil at 7:00 PM, also at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Memorial Contributions
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Plainville Ambassador Club, Rooks County Cancer Council, Plainville Wrestling Club, or the Eager Beaver 4-H Club. Donations may be sent to Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, 320 SW 2nd, Plainville, KS 67663.
