Madison Naquin Death & Obituary: Madison Frances Harford Naquin, 31, passed away on August 15, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones after a courageous battle with Metastatic Melanoma. Her unwavering spirit and deep love for her family and community will be remembered by all who knew her.
Visitation and Funeral Services
A visitation will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024, from 8:30 AM until the time of service at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by burial in the church cemetery. In addition, a Celebration of Life will take place in her hometown of Sayre, Pennsylvania, at a later date.
Early Life and Family
Madison was born on June 26, 1993, in Sayre, Pennsylvania, to Paul Harford and Melissa Cheney. She grew up in Sayre and graduated from high school in 2011. During and after high school, Madison worked at the Original Italian Grille, where she met the love of her life, Seth Naquin. In 2016, the couple moved to the historic Naquin Settlement in Thibodaux, Louisiana, where they raised their two children, Kielen Michael Naquin and Kinley Anna Naquin.
Passions and Interests
Madison was a woman of many talents and interests. She had a deep love for gardening, cooking, and antique shopping, and she was passionate about all things music, including singing. Known for her compassion, Madison had a special place in her heart for those in need, whether they were people or animals. Despite her own struggles, she always put others first, loving fiercely and unconditionally. Madison was also known as the life of the party, bringing joy and laughter to her friends and family.
Legacy and Family
Madison leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience. She is survived by her husband, Seth Naquin; their children, Kielen and Kinley; her father, Paul Harford (Melissa); her mother, Melissa Cheney; her siblings, Matthew Harford, Mitchell DeKay (Tiffany), and Paul Estes (Megan); her grandparents, Guy “Papa” Cheney and Dennis Grey; her mothers-in-law, Lindy Naquin and Brenda Naquin; her brothers-in-law, Blake Naquin (Lindsey) and Cody Naquin (Blanca); and many other cherished family members and friends.
Madison was welcomed into heaven by her son, Kristian Matthew Naquin; her maternal grandmother, Donna Grey; her paternal grandparents, John and Arline Harford; her father-in-law, Rudy Naquin; and her great-grandfather, Francis Robert Morrison, for whom she was named.
