Linda passed away peacefully at the Blue Crest Nursing Home in Grand Bank, NL, on August 4, 2024. Her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her are left to mourn the incredible woman who filled their lives with love and joy.
Cherished Memories and Loved Ones
Leaving behind a lifetime of wonderful memories, Linda is survived by her children: Isaac (Dawn) of Burin, Darrell (Marsha) of Lewin’s Cove, Aubrey (Bonnie) of Lewin’s Cove, Terry of Burin, and Richard (Natasha) of Garnish. She was a proud grandmother to Darlene, Kyle, Hayley, Tyler, Patrick, Cameron, Joseph, Clara, and Aurora, and adored her great-grandchildren, Danika, Kiera, Payton, Eva, and Sara. Linda is also mourned by her sisters Hilda, Jean, Carrie, and Maude; her partner Ralph Duhart; special friends Lynda and Charlie; and a large circle of extended family and friends.

Described as “Amazing,” Linda was a beacon of strength, courage, and determination throughout her life. No matter the obstacles she faced, she met them with humor and resilience, often lightening the burdens of those around her with her infectious laughter. She had a soft spot for animals, turning her woodshed into a haven for stray cats, and could frequently be found feeding local wildlife from her window. Celebration of Life and Final Farewell
The Parsons family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home in Burin, NL, on Thursday, August 8, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and again on Friday, August 9, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 10, at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Following cremation, a burial service will take place at the Church of the Ascension Anglican Cemetery in Brookside on Monday, August 12, at a time to be announced. Linda Parsons will be deeply missed, but her spirit and love will live on in the hearts of her family and the community she cherished.
