Elsie married Marvin M. Meier on July 11, 1948, in Gilman. Marvin preceded her in death on April 6, 2000. She was also predeceased by her parents, two brothers, and three sisters. Elsie is survived by her son, Mike (Jan) Meier of Ashkum; her daughter, Brenda Grob of Galena, MO; four grandchildren, Chad (Sarah) Grob, Nicole (Doug) Lelm, Troy (Shannon) Meier, and Tricia (Chris) Koerner; and eleven great-grandchildren, including Trevor, Jayce, Derek, Cayla, Cloey, Casyn, Tyler, Molly, Mason, Logan, and Ethan. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
Community Involvement and Hobbies
Elsie was a dedicated member of the Ashkum United Methodist Church, where she actively participated in various activities. She loved playing cards, fishing, tending to her flower garden, baking, and cooking, sharing her talents and warmth with family and friends. Visitation and Funeral Service
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Monday, August 5, 2024, at the Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton. Rev. Vicki Killus will officiate the service, and burial will follow at the Ashkum Cemetery.
