Chris was not only recognized for his remarkable skills but also for his generosity and unwavering dedication to his family and friends. Proudly calling himself a “jack-of-all-trades,” Chris humbly admitted that while he may not have been a master in any single discipline, his abilities far surpassed what the title might imply. His relentless pursuit of knowledge, whether through hands-on experience or online resources, demonstrated his unending drive to learn, improve, and innovate.

A Legacy of Dedication and Integrity

Throughout his career, Chris left an indelible mark in every position he held. From his early days working at a gas station in Oak Harbor and Little Caesars in Port Clinton to his roles at TriMotors, Guardian Glass, and Seneca Wire, Chris built a reputation for exceptional work ethic and integrity. His contributions at Fremont Speedway, where he was known as the “mean guy” at Turn 2, and Schiets Motorsports further cemented his standing as a skilled and dedicated worker.

However, Chris’s most meaningful professional achievement was his role as a career technical instructor at Penta Career Center in Perrysburg, Ohio. Over nine years, Chris educated and inspired more than 200 students in PowerSports and Engine Systems, earning their respect with his patience, honesty, and exemplary conduct.

A Life Full of Love and Joy

Beyond his professional life, Chris was known for his kindness and selflessness. He was always willing to lend a hand, often finding himself repairing motorcycles, snowmobiles, cars, boats, and jet skis for friends and family, never expecting anything in return. Even in his final days, Chris’s generosity shone through as he offered support to a friend’s family regarding the PowerSports program at Penta, despite facing his own challenges.

Chris’s life took a joyful turn when he met Debbie twelve years ago at the Sandbar on the Portage River. Their relationship was a beautiful balance of personalities, with Debbie’s vibrant energy perfectly complementing Chris’s more reserved nature. Together, they built their dream home on the Portage River, creating a sanctuary filled with love and happiness. Their shared life was full of memorable adventures, including boating, camping with Debbie’s daughters Emily and Erica, and road trips across the United States. Chris’s Christmas proposal to Debbie was a heartfelt surprise that encapsulated his deep love for her and her daughters.

A Devoted Family Man

Chris was a devoted partner, stepfather, and family man. He was known for his meticulous attention to detail, his dedication to his craft, and his unwavering support of his family. His infectious laugh, love for adventure, and passion for “Shed Burgers” will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
