Born on March 1, 1928, in Gilman, she was the daughter of Carl and Mary (Hexamer) Evelsizer. Elsie’s life was marked by love, family, and a deep commitment to her community.

Elsie married Marvin M. Meier on July 11, 1948, in Gilman. Marvin preceded her in death on April 6, 2000. She was also predeceased by her parents, two brothers, and three sisters. Elsie is survived by her son, Mike (Jan) Meier of Ashkum; her daughter, Brenda Grob of Galena, MO; four grandchildren, Chad (Sarah) Grob, Nicole (Doug) Lelm, Troy (Shannon) Meier, and Tricia (Chris) Koerner; and eleven great-grandchildren, including Trevor, Jayce, Derek, Cayla, Cloey, Casyn, Tyler, Molly, Mason, Logan, and Ethan. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
