A lifelong resident of Hereford, Anthony was a well-known and loved figure in his community. He graduated from Hereford High School in 1989 and soon after married Rachel Alaniz. Together, they raised two sons and created a loving family.
Professional Career
Anthony’s strong work ethic was evident throughout his career. He began working in the family business, “Gonzales Brothers Plumbing,” alongside his father and uncles. His career continued with “Gonzales Plumbing,” where he worked with his brother David. At the time of his passing, Anthony was employed by “Hereford Plumbing,” reflecting his commitment and contribution to the plumbing industry.
Passion and Interests
Anthony had a zest for life and a wide range of interests. He enjoyed riding his Harley and was a dedicated Dallas Cowboys fan. His passion for football extended to tailgating and cheering for Notre Dame, while his family supported Duke basketball, Anthony proudly remained a North Carolina Tar Heel fan. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family and watching his sons play sports. Known for his sense of humor, Anthony often shared jokes and made phone calls to bring laughter to those around him.

Anthony is survived by his wife of 31 years, Rachel Gonzales, and their two sons, Geoffrey Gonzales and Brandon Gonzales, all of Hereford, Texas. He is also survived by his siblings, Norma Stallings of Corsicana, Texas, David Gonzales and his wife Monica, and Selma Gonzales, all of Hereford, Texas, as well as his sister-in-law, Lori Gonzales of Hereford, Texas.
Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, Anselmo “Sammy” Gonzales and Elvira Gonzales, his brothers Robert and Anselmo Jr. Gonzales, and his sister, Linda Gonzales.
